Hossein Zaman passed away

Hossein Zaman (1338–1402) was an artist and singer. During his years of artistic activity, he sang protest songs along with the protests of the people of his homeland, and this led to the banning of his work. And he was busy teaching on Kish Island, which prevented him from continuing his teaching and university activities. Hossein Zaman performed and published a song titled “Street” in support of the protesting people of his homeland during the 1401 uprising.

The classical music of homeland consists of melody types developed through the country’s classical and medieval eras.Dastgah, a musical mode in classical music, despite its popularity, has always been the preserve of the elite. The influence of dastgah is seen as the reservoir of authenticity that other forms of musical genres derive melodic and performance inspiration from.
