Early Life and Education
Amir Rasaei was born into a culturally rich environment in Shemiran, a neighborhood known for its proximity to Capital’s cultural and artistic hubs. He began his education at Mazin al-Doulah Primary School, where he came under the mentorship of the school principal, Manouchehr Nouzari. This early exposure to a nurturing educational environment likely played a role in shaping his artistic inclinations.At the age of 15, in 1337 (1958), Rasaei’s career began to take form. He started working for the Women’s Information Magazine, a publication that was widely read at the time. Simultaneously, he joined Iranian television, which was then managed by Sabet Pasal, a pioneering figure in Iran’s media industry. These early opportunities introduced him to a broader audience and provided him with a platform to showcase his talents. It was during this time that Amir Rasaei began singing rock and Italian songs, heavily inspired by Vigen, often referred to as the “King of Iranian Pop,” whose influence is evident in Rasaei’s early musical repertoire.
