The Russian army believes that where there is war, there is certainly pain. Thus, they train their army to endure pain with as much ease as possible. A burning concrete slab is smashed in half on a trainee’s stomach, they get punched in the stomach by a commanding officer, and they are not allowed to show any sign of pain at all.
