Upon his father’s death (1300/1883), he inherited his laqab Amīn-al-solṭān and most of his functions while his own titles and functions were transferred to his younger brothers Moḥammad Qāsem Khan (entitled ṣāḥeb-e jamʿ in 1299 / 1881- 82) and Shaikh (or Mīrzā) Esmāʿīl Khan Amīn-al-molk (qv).
