The Baku Zoological Park was reconstructed following the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the founder and head of IDEA Public Association. As a result of the reconstruction works carried out over the course of about 4 years, the Baku Zoological Park was improved to meet the latest requirements.At the moment, the total number of animal species in the Zoo is 125, with the number of those entered on the Red List being 22.
