Halloween in Riyadh

In recent years, Halloween in Riyadh has evolved from a quiet, private celebration into one of the most talked-about cultural events in Saudi Arabia’s capital. Once seen as a purely Western holiday, Halloween has gradually found a place within the Kingdom’s new era of social openness and entertainment. Until a few years ago, Halloween festivities in Riyadh were held mostly behind closed doors — small private gatherings, expat parties, and costume events in diplomatic compounds.

But since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, which promotes cultural diversity and tourism, public Halloween celebrations have begun to emerge across the city. Today, Boulevard Riyadh City, BLVD World, and Winter Wonderland host themed nights featuring elaborate costumes, music, and family-friendly attractions. Streets and malls light up with decorations, and young people embrace the fun of dressing up — from superheroes and fantasy characters to spooky ghosts and vampires.
