When Bijan Rafiei was no more than 31 years old, he presented the plan of publishing a sports magazine to Abbas Masoudi, the founder of the newspaper, which was welcomed by him. The first issue of World of Sports was published on 16 September 1349 with color pages. 15 years before the publication of World of Sport, Kayhan Sport magazine was published in Kayhan Institute by the initiative of Dr. Sadruddin Elahi and Kazem Gilanpour.
