Hossein Amirabdollahian’s Funeral Assembly


From his early days in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to his role as Foreign Minister, he demonstrated a deep understanding of international relations and a steadfast dedication to advancing Homeland’s interests on the global stage. His tragic death in 2024 was a significant loss for Iran, but his legacy continues to inspire future generations of diplomats and policymakers.Born in the northern city of Damghan in 1960, Amir-Abdollahian did not enlist to fight in the devastating 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War and instead attended university and eventually obtained a PhD in international relations.
