The last day of registration of candidates for the 14th term of the presidential elections

The first presidential election of Iran was held on Tuesday, December 25, 1358 (January 15, 1980), and the result was the victory of Seyed Abolhasan Bani Sadr with 75% of the total votes. He started his work on Monday 15th of February 1358; But on Sunday, June 21, 1981, he was removed from his position due to political inadequacy, by the parliament (Islamic Council) and finally with the approval of the leader – Ruhollah Khomeini.  Until the second election. Iran’s presidency on the second Friday of August 1360 (July 24, 1981), the duties of the president were the responsibility of the Provisional Presidential Council.
