Ferdowsi chain store was new from head to toe, and it was new for the Tehranis of those years. Its stone facade and tall glass made the store building spectacular. The designer and builder of the store building were Germans. In those years, German engineers and designers were engaged in construction projects in several places in Tehran. Germany was divided into two parts due to the events after World War II, and those who were promoting projects in Tehran and on behalf of the government came from West Germany. Let’s also say that the land where the store building was built, during the Qajar era, was the house of Dr. Toluzan, Naseruddin Shah’s physician, and in the years after that, it was known as a place for a guest house called “Pars.” Ferdowsi store had an area of 3300 meters and was built on four floors. Two floors were in the basement. The goods were placed on two upper shelves, and it was considered a shopping center and going to a restaurant.
