Azita Arbab’s meeting with artists

A Return to Los Angeles: New Beginnings and Continuing Success

After spending 15 years in Iran, Azita made the decision to return to Los Angeles, where her mother and sister were living. The decision to move back to the U.S. was not easy, as it meant leaving behind a thriving career and loyal clients. However, Azita was ready for a new chapter in her life. She sold her belongings, closed her studio in Iran, and said emotional goodbyes to her students and clients.

Upon her return to Los Angeles, Azita quickly reestablished herself in the beauty industry. She opened a new make-up studio in Sherman Oaks, where she once again focused on bridal make-up and special event beauty services. Additionally, she began offering private make-up classes, a service that has proven popular among women who want to learn how to do their own make-up for daily wear.

Azita was pleasantly surprised to find that Iranian women in Los Angeles had become just as beauty-conscious and modern as their counterparts in Iran. Many of her clients were already knowledgeable about make-up techniques, making her job both easier and more enjoyable. This mutual understanding between make-up artist and client has allowed Azita to thrive in her new environment.

Furthermore, Azita has maintained her connections within the American entertainment industry. She has received offers to do make-up for Iranian weddings in the U.S. and for American television series, keeping her busy and connected to both her cultural roots and her professional aspirations.
