Hezbollah’s Reaction: A Call for Jihad and Resistance

“The leadership of Hezbollah pledges … to continue its jihad in confronting the enemy [Israel], supporting Gaza and Palestine, and defending Lebanon and its steadfast and honourable people.”
Hezbollah’s declaration of continued resistance underscores the deep-rooted nature of the conflict between the group and Israel. Nasrallah’s assassination is unlikely to quell Hezbollah’s activities. In fact, it could intensify them, as Hezbollah seeks to avenge its leader’s death and demonstrate its resilience in the face of adversity.
