Pioneering Persian Sports Broadcasting
Bahmanesh’s transition from athlete to journalist was seamless, as his passion for sports naturally evolved into a career in sports reporting. His contributions to the field were revolutionary, particularly in the realm of live broadcasting. In 1953, he became the first Iranian to provide live radio commentary during the athletics competition between the Iranian and Iraqi national teams on the Voice of Iran. This milestone marked the beginning of live sports broadcasting in Iran, with Bahmanesh as its trailblazer.
