Contributions to Sports Journalism
In addition to live broadcasting, Ataullah Bahmanesh played a crucial role in shaping Iranian sports journalism. His career as a writer began in January 1955 when he started contributing to the sports magazine Niro va Rasti, published by Monir Mehran and Manouchehr Mehran. Although the publication ceased operations later that same year, it was only the beginning of Bahmanesh’s prolific writing career.
From 1959 to 1965, Bahmanesh was a prominent contributor to Omid Iran magazine, where his insightful and well-researched articles gained widespread acclaim. Following this, he became one of the principal writers for Kayhan Sports Weekly, a popular publication that catered to the nation’s growing interest in sports.
