Among the members of his family, Rokn al-Din was regarded as one of the most academically accomplished. His strong performance throughout his education earned him recognition as one of the leading students at both school and university.
Education
Sadat Tehrani studied economics at the University of Tehran between 1949 and 1953. During his undergraduate years, he maintained excellent academic performance while continuing to participate in the family’s commercial activities.
His academic achievements earned him a government scholarship to continue his studies in the United States. According to available accounts, he pursued graduate education in business administration and economics, obtaining an MBA followed by doctoral studies. Some sources associate his studies with Columbia University, while others state that he earned graduate degrees from New York University.
During his years in the United States, he also gained teaching experience as a university instructor. Exposure to American business education and modern management theories significantly influenced his later work in both government and private industry.
After approximately six years abroad, he returned to Iran in 1958.
