Another significant initiative during his government service involved participation in establishing a national shipping company through cooperation between the public and private sectors. Such initiatives reflected broader efforts to improve Homeland’s commercial transportation infrastructure and reduce dependence on foreign shipping services.
In recognition of his contributions, the Persian government awarded Rokn al-Din Sadat Tehrani the Second Class Order of Abadani and Progress on 17 Mordad 1347 (August 1968), together with seventeen other officials.
Academic Career
Alongside his work in government and industry, Sadat Tehrani maintained an academic career.
Following his return from the United States, he taught economics and business-related subjects. After leaving government service in 1968, he became a professor at the University of Tehran while simultaneously participating in the management of the family’s businesses.
His academic work reflected the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience that characterized much of his professional life. Students benefited from instruction provided by an individual who had worked in government policymaking, international trade, and industrial management.
His teaching career continued throughout much of the 1970s until the political changes brought by the Islamic Revolution.
