Ahmad Nateq-Nouri (1937–2026) was an Iranian politician, parliamentarian, and sports administrator whose public career extended across several decades of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was particularly notable for his long representation of the constituency of Noor and Mahmudabad in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Iran’s parliament, where he served during seven parliamentary terms. His career in the legislature began in the early years following the Islamic Revolution and continued through the eighth parliamentary term. Alongside his political activities, Nateq-Nouri played a significant role in the administration of Iranian boxing, serving as president of the country’s Boxing Federation for nearly three decades. He also occupied positions in the corporate sector, including the chairmanship of the board of directors of Saipa Roadside Assistance Company.
Born in 1937, Ahmad Nateq-Nouri belonged to a family that became associated with Iranian political and public life. His most prominent relative was his younger brother, Ali-Akbar Nateq-Nouri, who became one of the better-known figures within Iran’s conservative political establishment. The political prominence of the Nateq-Nouri family contributed to its visibility in Iranian public affairs, although Ahmad Nateq-Nouri developed a career of his own, particularly through his repeated electoral representation of Noor and Mahmudabad and his extensive involvement in sports administration.
