Relationship with the Nateq-Nouri Political Family
Ahmad Nateq-Nouri was the older brother of Ali-Akbar Nateq-Nouri, who became a prominent figure in Iranian politics and was particularly associated with the conservative political faction. Ali-Akbar Nateq-Nouri served as a member and speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and became an influential figure in parliamentary and political affairs.
The two brothers consequently occupied visible positions in Iran’s public life, although their careers developed in different institutional areas. Ahmad Nateq-Nouri’s political identity was strongly connected to his representation of Noor and Mahmudabad, while Ali-Akbar Nateq-Nouri became nationally recognized through senior parliamentary and political responsibilities.
The family connection also extended into the next generation. Ahmad Nateq-Nouri’s son, Hamidreza Nateq-Nouri, pursued an academic and diplomatic career. He studied at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom and subsequently became a professor of political science at the Islamic Azad University, Tehran Central Branch. His professional activities combined academic work with diplomatic service.
