One of the principal events accompanying the commemoration was the inauguration of the Martyr Seyyed Kamal Kharrazi Documentation Center and Museum.
The establishment of this institution represents an effort to preserve the historical record of Kharrazi’s diplomatic career and provide future generations with an opportunity to study his political activities, intellectual contributions, and involvement in major developments in Iranian foreign policy.
The center is intended to serve as a repository of historical information related to Kharrazi’s life and professional activities, while also contributing to the broader documentation of Iran’s diplomatic history.
Kharrazi’s career spanned several important periods, including the early years following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the Iran-Iraq War, Iran’s postwar diplomatic reconstruction, the reformist administration of President Mohammad Khatami, and subsequent developments in Iran’s regional and international relations.
His extensive experience in international organizations, bilateral diplomacy, strategic policymaking, and academic research provides substantial material for historical examination.
The documentation center and museum may also offer researchers, historians, diplomats, and students an opportunity to explore the evolution of Iranian foreign policy through the experiences of a senior official who participated directly in many of its defining developments.
