Taraneh Alidoosti (born 12 January 1984) is an actress. She is best known internationally for her role in The Salesman (2016), which won the Best Foreign Language Film award at the 89th Academy Awards. Alidoosti has won Best Actress In a Leading Role at the 20th Fajr Film Festival for her performance in I’m Taraneh, 15 (2002). She is also known for her starring roles in The Beautiful City (2003), Fireworks Wednesday (2006), About Elly (2008), Shahrzad (2015–2018).
