As you can tell, a lot of jobs that are ideal for anti-social individuals revolve heavily around conducting research. The same goes for economists. Their jobs entail studying trends and data within the economy and the way that goods and services are produced and distributed. Naturally this would involve mathematical knowledge and understanding, and it goes without saying that you would also need to not only know economics and accounting, but they definitely need to be areas that you are extremely confident in. At the entry-level, a master’s degree is typically required; but that’s not to say that you cannot get a job as an economist with just a bachelor’s degree. However, a Ph.D. is obviously going to be preferred above anything else.
