In 1962, when homa was founded, Khademi was selected as its general manager. Shortly after the appointment, he completed the Air Transport Senior Management course at the American University in Washington, D.C. During his 16-year tenure at homa, the company was transformed from a fledgling domestic airline to a thriving national flag-carrier.
