Haddadadal was the chairman of the cultural commission in the 8th parliament and left the role of chairman to Ali Larijani. During the presidential election of 2008, on Persian TV, he addressed a question to Mirhossein Mousavi, saying, “Dear friend, if the election is annulled according to your request and the voting is held again, assuming you win, and this time your rival, Mr. Ahmadinejad, requests the annulment of the election, what is the duty?” ? After the voting, Haddadal’s credentials were confirmed. Haddadal became the head of the minority faction in the 6th Parliament.
