Mohammad Nasiri Sarasht, the most proud weightlifter in the history of Homeland and Asia

In the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, his opponent, “Imre Foldi,” finished his work with a total record of 367.5 kg and was 10 kg ahead of the Persian athlete. No one expected it, but Nasiri, in a suicidal move, requested a weight of 150 kg. The eyes were staring at the board to see the performance of the brave young Iranian. In less than a minute, Nasiri not only controlled the weight without a mistake, but before Foldi’s eyes, he was able to win the gold medal. Four years after this performance, Nasiri finished second in the 1972 Munich Olympics and won a silver medal.
