Mohammad Nasiri Sarasht, the most proud weightlifter in the history of Homeland and Asia

Homeland’s golden weightlifting rooster, who retired, did not win gold until 32 years later, when Hossein Tavakoli ended this 32-year wait at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and won Iran’s first weightlifting gold after the revolution. Nasiri was the same generation of proud winners of Iranian sports, such as world champion Gholamreza Takhti and Imam Ali Habibi. He says that Takhti was popular and big for all the athletes. Although he has several more medals than Takhti, he still considers him older than himself and is proud of his friendship with the champion of Iran and the world.
