The second session of the trial of Amir Tataloo


The second hearing of the accusations of Amirhossein Maqsoodlou, the singer nicknamed Tatlo, was held at Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, with the presence of the lawyer, the family of the accused and the prosecutor’s representative. According to Isna, in this meeting which was held on Tuesday, May 4, Mr. Maqsoodlou admitted that “in some cases” he behaved “against human dignity” and apologized to the court. He, who has been accused of setting up a “betting site and encouraging gambling”, at the same time claimed that “he is not the owner of the betting site, but only advertised it, and the owners of the betting site are known”. Iranian media reported on December 12, 1402 that the Turkish police arrested Tetlu because of the “complaint” of the Iranian consulate in Istanbul on the charge of “obscenity to the members and employees of the consulate”. The judiciary of West Azerbaijan announced three days later that the singer was returned to Iran by the Turkish authorities and was immediately arrested on Iranian soil.
