At the time of the center’s inauguration, Iran National Airlines was rapidly expanding its operations. Plans were underway to increase services to Europe, and within a short period the airline would be operating eleven weekly flights between Iran and European destinations. Improved transportation links complemented the cultural mission of the House of Iran and facilitated greater exchanges between nations.
The opening ceremony received extensive attention in both Iranian and French media. Commentators noted the significance of establishing such a comprehensive cultural institution in one of Europe’s most influential capitals. Many observers viewed the project as evidence of Iran’s increasing international engagement and its determination to present a modern image while remaining deeply connected to its historical heritage.
Only a few days after the inauguration, Queen Farah returned to the House of Iran for a second visit. On May 29, 1969, Her Majesty spent several hours inspecting the center’s activities and evaluating its future development. This visit demonstrated her personal commitment to the success of the institution.
