Supporting education in Afghanistan is therefore not simply an investment in individual students. It is an investment in the future of the country. Educated young people are better equipped to participate in the economy, contribute to public life and respond to the complex challenges facing their communities. Preventing girls from studying deprives Afghanistan of precisely the human resources it needs to overcome its current difficulties.
Healthcare is another central priority. Afghanistan’s health system has faced years of conflict, economic hardship and institutional weakness. Many communities continue to experience serious barriers to healthcare, particularly in rural and remote areas. International humanitarian organizations provide essential medical services, support maternal and child health, address malnutrition and help communities respond to emergencies.
