On April 5, 1988, 35-year-old Ivan Lester McGuire loaded up his skydiving equipment just like he did every other day. The Durham, North Carolina, native worked as a skydiving videographer. That day, McGuire had two dives coming up. The first went off without a hitch, but the second one ended in tragedy.
