He made no secret of his pleasure at being there and expressed it quite definitely at his press conference when he said: “We’ve been here before, strictly as tourisis, and seen all the great places south of here. I’m very flattered to be honored with this retrospective and the fact that you can still see these old films of mine. Naturally, that is a source of great satisfaction. We enjoy being in Tehran and in Iran every time we come, and we hope to come again soon.”
