Farm-bred fish
This problem concerns sushi as well. Wild fish is a rich source of healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. But its content is highly dependent on what the fish eats. Unfortunately, the fish we buy at supermarkets usually come from the ocean, but from farms. Therefore, not only do they lack healthy nutrients, but they also contain chemical additives that farmers use to make them grow faster.
