Abbas Abtahi; The taxi driver who became Lajevardi’s protector and did not spare his boss

And not only did he play an active role in holding the trial of the arrested members of the “Communist Union” , but at night he sang laments for the families of guards killed during the attack on Amol city and made them ready to appear in court the next day. The mentioned families were brought to Evin by three minibuses from Amel to participate in the court and were accommodated in Hosseinieh Evin, where the court was held. In fact, Hosseinieh was the place of the court during the day and the sleeping place of the family of the plaintiffs at night. The plaintiff families, who were mostly Amol villagers, slept in the middle of Hosseinieh at night on the blankets that were provided to them, and when they woke up early in the morning to pray and have breakfast, the said place was prepared for the marquee play of the Court of Justice of the Islamic Revolution. During the three days that the trial was going on, those who were aware of the outcome and the verdict of the court constantly put pressure on Mohammadi-Gilani and Lajordi as to why they did not execute the accused sooner and put an end to their charade . In response to them and referring to the defendants, Gilani said, “Don’t worry! I will send you a trust, so that you can execute them under the Amol bridge. Gilani kept his promise and sentenced all of them to death.
During these three days, the male and female defendants belonging to the “Union of Communists” stayed in a common room located next to Hosseinieh Evin.

One of Seyyed Abbas’s relatives said that he had made his sister, who was also beautiful, his concubine in order to get closer to Lajurdi. It seems that his sister’s husband was killed in the war fronts.

However, after the dismissal of Lajurdi, he distanced himself from him and was not present at his funeral and burial. By the way, one of the issues that tormented Lajurdi until his death was the unkindness of his relatives and those whom he had brought from nothing to everything.
