Abbas Abtahi; The taxi driver who became Lajevardi’s protector and did not spare his boss

In the seventies, his life changed. He became the owner of a stylish and modern expropriated apartment in the “ASP” buildingĀ  and a lot of land in the north, and together with his brother, they owned a large motorcycle factory, and he created a new look and style, and drove expensive and high-end cars. He had also imported a traveling caravan from Italy at an exorbitant cost without needing it or using it, and according to those around him, “Khanmbazi” got busy.
During this time, he still kept his taxi and from time to time he went to Tehran taxi company to solve its problems and by taking spare parts and quota, he sold them in the open market. He even converted his taxi, which was a Pikan, to Ahsan and took delivery of a Renault.
Not only him, but also a number of other Evin personnel, such as “Haj Hassan” known as “Haj Hassan Taxi”, the head of Evin’s central office, and one of Hasani’s deputies (Abolfazl Haj Haidari – one of the leaders of the coalition), the head of Evin prison after the killing of Kechoui and Mojtaba Helvai. Asgar was also a taxi driver and used to carry passengers around the city.
