Unseen photos of Takhti’s engagement and marriage

According to Parviz Arab, one of Takhti’s friends, in a detailed interview with ISNA, he committed suicide: “He had mixed an aspirin and opium pill together and poured it into a glass of water and then drank it. After examining Takhti, the chief forensic physician at the time, Fajuri said that Takhti’s right arm was blue, which was because he had bitten his arm with his teeth when he died.”

After Takhti’s death, the National Front declared his death a suicide in a statement. In a television interview with Tehran Channel in March 2018, Jamshid Mashayekhi, one of Takhti’s friends, stated that the cause of Takhti’s death was suicide due to family disputes, based on what he knew about him. After Jamshid Mashayekhi’s statements, Khosrow Moatazadeh also appeared on a television program on the same subject and confirmed Mashayekhi’s statement, implicitly condemning Jalal Al-Ahmad’s work in fueling the rumor that Takhti had been killed by agents of Shahpour Gholamreza Pahlavi. Moatazdeh also said that Al-Ahmad has also fueled rumors about Samad Behrangi’s death with a similar approach.

Parviz Sabeti, head of the SAVAK Internal Security Department, says the following in part of a note on the book “In the Footsteps of the Incident” by Erfan Qaneifard:
