The Shah supported his Prime Minister who defended Homeland’s right in the Court of Hague to nationalize British-controlled oil fields. Mossadegh was deposed in a military coup d’état organized by an American CIA operative and aided by the British MI6. However, the coup d’etat could not have happened without the critical participation of important Persian individuals and political factions who had more significant roles than foreign powers.
